This is the first book in the Devil's Fury MC series and it was delightful. Savannah was born to a crack whore who didn't want her so she was adopted by a sweet, loving couple. She met Tyson Redding when she was 19 years old, in college and at a local bar with her BFF, Jenni. She thought he was handsome and he only had eyes for her so he swept her off her feet. He convinced her to move in with him after only three months of dating telling her he didn't want to sleep without her and she'd be able to study easier at his house. It wasn't long after she moved in and was alienated from all her friends that the abuse started both verbal and physical. It's now 4 years later, she's just graduated college, she's still living with a monster and now she's found out she's pregnant. One night they go to a charity event and get into a huge fight when they get home. It's the first time Tyson has left any evidence of his abuse by giving her a black eye and a badly bruised face. The next day she gets in her car and leaves when she gets tired she pulls over behind a convenience store and goes to sleep in the backseat. Matthew Sinclair (Sin) grew up in an MC, his father started the Devil's Fury MC but he never wanted to be a part of it. When he was old enough he joined the Marines and left his family in New Mexico. He's now retired and back home as a patched member of the Devil's Fury. His father and younger sister were murdered and now his older brother, Devin (Cut) is the President. He sees Savannah curled up unconscious in the backseat of her car and when he sees all the bruises he knows he can't leave her there so he takes her back to his clubhouse. This was a really good book and I'm anxious to read the rest of the series.

SIN Devil Fury Book 1 edition by Torrie Robles Eric Battershell Romance eBooks Reviews

Sin

A middle child born into Devil’s Fury MC. Sin never felt that he fit into the club. He didn’t see his life as anything other than the son of the president. Wanting a life away from the MC, Sin joined the military after high school, becoming nothing more than a grunt in the Marines. Military life was hard, and war was something he didn’t expect. People called him a hero for defending his country, but he felt more like a coward. A hero wouldn’t have shrapnel scars on their back, proving they were running away from the fight instead of facing it.

Savannah She was raised by her working class family in the midst of oil country, Texas. Catching the eye of an older man, the son of oil royalty, she thought she found love. But she was wrong. He wanted her on his arm, to make him look good, just as a woman should. Savannah wanted to be heard, her opinion to matter. She wanted to be valued. The first strike of his hand across her face should have been evidence enough that her life wasn’t turning out as she had hoped. Getting smacked around became the norm. Fearing him became her life.
Sin & Savannah
Two people broken.
Two people living a life they didn’t want.
Two people thrown together
To keep each other safe;
One from their past, and one from their own misery.
Can he rectify a past tragedy?
Can she be his salvation?

MY REVIEW

This character Sin is like no other I have read about and I decided to write this review because honestly it had to be done. I read this book twice, that's how good it was to me. I actually saw this book because it was a free book in my inBox, I read the description and was intrigued to read more on the story and so I did. So I put the description of the book before the review because I wanted to be able to tell you my likes, there was nothing in this book I disliked at all. First, I will start off by saying that I LOVED the cover it actually speaks volumes to the story. Secondly, the storyline....AMAZING! The story is like reading a newer more grittier version of Sons of Anarchy; this is how I wanted Jax to be mournful of having to kill at times no emotion when it was deemed necessary. Having the two worlds collide with Sin and Savannah bought on a rather heartfelt, action filled drama that I think anyone would love reading about. I can only imagine that there is someone in this world that would fight for me with such intensity. Finally, my recommendation is just this; no matter if you are a lover of romance, action, thrillers, mc club books this is a great read.

Great, great read! My favorite book of the year next to Tijan's Fallen Crest Series!
I gave this one star only because I didn't finish it. These are my opinions and others may feel differently about the book. I encourage you to take my opinion with a grain of salt as you might like this story. I started off very excited to read this story. I'm a sucker for a good pregnancy story where the h is in trouble. I liked how she ran and was taken by H, but then it got weird. For being a battered woman, she had no problem standing up to an entire MC, which I found very strange, especially when they were calling her names right to her face.
The second problem for me was the way Sin and Cut called their mother Mama throughout the whole book, in front of others. It just didn't seem to fit the MC story. I could be wrong though. I liked that Sin didn't want the MC life, but I didn't understand why he was there to begin with. I thought that he was already a part of the MC before he joined the military and had an obligation to return. That wasn't so. He joined after he got back and with what happened to his dad and sister, you would think he would run further. It would have made more sense if he had met Savannah and then run to his family to help protect her.
My third problem with the story was how openly emotional these men were. There were many moments that there were long, drawn-out emotional conversations that just didn't seem to fit the story. I get trying to write an MC differently, but this didn't seem to fit.
My fourth problem was how easily Cut was persuaded to accept Savannah. One minute, he's totally against her and after one short conversation with Sin, he's completely on his side and for no apparent reason other than Sin feels he needs to save everyone.
My final problem with this book is that it says it has been re-edited and updated. Yet there were still many errors. Normally I don't mind errors in a book. It's bound to happen. But when the book says that it's been updated and there are still many errors, it makes me wonder what the original version was like. There were chapters that were listed as Savannah, but were from Sin's perspective.
Overall, I felt that the story didn't flow well enough and the characters didn't feel consistent. There were just too many times where I thought, 'that seems a little out of character' or 'why would so and so do that?' I'm the type of reader that will give a book a chance, but if I'm not into it, I don't finish. So take a chance, it may be or you.
